OPL Academy Expands Technician Empowerment Program with NBTE Approval

OPL Academy is excited to announce that it has received approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to expand its Technician Empowerment Program to more schools across Nigeria. With this approval, OPL Academy now has access to government technical colleges and polytechnics in Ogun, Anambra, Lagos, and Abuja, further strengthening its mission to equip technicians with industry-relevant skills.

In 2024, OPL Academy trained 1,016 technicians and engineers from government technical colleges in Lagos State (Epe, Agidingbi, Ikorodu, Ikotun, and Adosoba), technical colleges in Abuja and Nasarawa, as well as students from Lagos State University (LASU), Epe, and Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH).

With this expanded reach, OPL Academy aims to train over 2,000 technicians and engineers this year across 17 campuses. This expansion marks a significant step toward bridging the skills gap in Nigeria’s technical sector and preparing the next generation of professionals to thrive in an increasingly competitive industry.
